Linda Smith

Analyst

Linda brings over 30 years of experience in government contracting (GovCon) and business operations to her role at AVISTA. She supports clients across a range of functions, including contract management, proposal compliance reviews, and graphic design. Her expertise in small business accounting systems (eFAACT, QuickBooks), Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) guidance, the Insider Threat Program, and Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) timecard and Joint Travel Regulation (JTR) requirements provides added value to AVISTA’s clients. Linda also works closely with GSAide clients on GSA MAS, GSA OASIS, and Army EXPRESS contracts, offering hands-on support throughout the contract lifecycle.

Prior to joining AVISTA, Linda held roles at Cepeda Systems & Software Analysis, Dynetics (now Leidos), and EER Systems (L-3 Communications Government Services), where she developed a strong foundation in program operations and contract support. She holds a degree in Industrial Design from Auburn University and was honored as a Most Valuable Employee by the Huntsville/Madison County Chamber of Commerce Best Places to Work program. Outside of work, Linda enjoys time with her two daughters, her grandson, and her four beloved dogs—Emma, Teddy, Bear, and Jackson.
