AVISTA Strategies is a business consulting firm assisting clients in the federal government market space. With headquarters in the Huntsville Alabama metropolitan area, AVISTA has the perfect location to assist highly educated entrepreneurs, as well as Fortune 500 companies in reaching their goals of developing cutting edge technology and expanding their defense and space-related services.
AVISTA Strategies was established in 2012 by Mary Taylor Griffith, a government contracting industry veteran. Today the company is comprised of a team of MBAs and engineers with industry and government experience spanning the complete life-cycle of federal government contracting. The Story Behind Our Name
We are frequently asked about the origin of the name “AVISTA Strategies”. During the naming process, several options were considered. Each of these names reflected key aspects of our mission: our passion for our work, our commitment to providing a comprehensive life-cycle perspective for our clients (symbolized by "vista"), and the strategic nature of our consulting services.
The word "Strategies" was an obvious choice for inclusion, but our founder also had a preference for a name that began with the letter "A." The name “AVISTA Strategies” emerged as a leading contender, alongside other possibilities. After a thoughtful pause, our founder was struck by the personal significance of the name, ultimately making the final decision. In addition to capturing the vision and purpose of our company, AVISTA held special meaning: it is a tribute to her mother, whose first name is Avis and whose last name begins with "TA."
