CHanda Tallman

Chanda Tallman brings over 20 years of acquisition and federal government procurement experience to AVISTA Strategies, where she leads capture, business development, and contract management efforts across both the GovCon and GSAide divisions.

Her acquisition background includes time as a contract specialist, contracting officer, procurement analyst, and GSA industry liaison. She’s supported many government agencies, both DoD and civilian, throughout her career including General Services Administration (GSA), Army Contracting Command – Redstone Arsenal (ACC-RSA), Space and Missile Defense Command (SMDC) and the
Missile Defense Agency (MDA).

Chanda’s deep understanding of Best-in-Class contract solutions, proposal evaluation, sourceselection and federal acquisition processes enables her to guide clients in identifying strategic opportunities and building successful partnerships between federal agencies, prime contractors,
and subcontractors. Our clients value her actionable recommendations and “lessons learned” observations, which help ensure efficient and compliant contract management.

Chanda has been both DAWIA and FAC-C Level III certified in the contracting career field, holds a Master of Science in Acquisition and Contract Management from the Florida Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of
Alabama in Huntsville. She also had the unique opportunity to complete the Army Acquisition Basic Course at the Army Logistics Management College.

Chanda is married and has three children and two doodles.
