Susan Lindsey
Director
Susan Lindsey serves as AVISTA’s Director of Business Operations, overseeing company processes related to personnel, finance, and operations, as well as mentoring staff and coordinating employee and client events to strengthen relationships and company culture. She works closely with AVISTA’s leadership team to build client engagements that are efficient, compliant, and mutually beneficial.
In addition to her leadership role, Susan supports clients in AVISTA’s GSAide division with GSA Multiple Award Schedule offers. She also assists clients during the Army’s Expedited Professional and Engineering Support Services (EXPRESS) program Open Season and helps clients prepare One Acquisition Solution for Integrated Services Plus (OASIS+) proposals.
Susan graduated from The University of Alabama in 1998 with a degree in Chemical Engineering and a minor through UA’s Computer-Based Honors Program (now The Randall Research Scholars Program), where she was a Presidential Scholarship and Computer-Based Honors Fellowship recipient.
Before joining AVISTA, Susan served as a High School Science Coach for Madison City Schools through a federal science grant, supporting chemistry teachers at Bob Jones and James Clemens high schools. Earlier in her career, she worked for Shell Deepwater as a Subsea Systems Engineer.
Susan lives in Athens, Alabama and has been married to her husband, Chris, for 27 years. They have 3 daughters who also have a connection to the University of Alabama: 2 currently attending and 1 recently graduated. Susan loves to read and enjoys serving as an active member of her church's worship ministry.
